My name is Tomasz Arodz. I am a computer scientist. I graduated with a PhD on pattern recognition methods and their biomedical applications in 2007 from Department of Computer Science of the AGH University of Science and Technology, a leading Polish technical university located in Krakow, Poland.

Since summer 2010, I am with the School of Engineering, Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, USA. Visit my current, up-to-date home page at VCU.

myresearch

My current research interests are focused on bioinformatics. In bioinformatics, computer science methods meet problems from life sciences. Algorithmic analysis and statistical mining of biomedical data is at the core of this research field.

I work currently on two problems in bioinformatics. First involves methods from complex networks in analysing differences in robustness of metabolism in different species. Second is computational and statistical exploration of rules that describe evolution of protein structure.
