Holders of non-Polish citizenship may study in Poland:
as holders of scholarship granted by the Government of the Republic of Poland (every year the number of places for individuals arriving in Poland, including those of Polish descent, who are granted Polish scholarship encompass Polish commitments which result from international agreements and department contracts. The scholarship is granted by the Minister of Sport and Education. Handling scholarships is carried out by the Office of Educational Recognition and International Exchange in Warsaw),
paying the university fees in a foreign currency (the fee depends on the major and kind of studies; individuals of Polish descent pay fees lowered by 30 per cent. Non-Polish citizens who are admitted to the doctorate studies pay in the first year a fee increased by 200 Euros. University fees are made by a single payment in advance for one year to the University account, before the beginning of studies).

Individuals who want to apply for the admission to doctorate studies must:
hold a Master's degree obtained in Poland or a legalised diploma or another certificate of university education obtained abroad which is recognised as equivalent to a diploma of completion of a Polish Master's degree course.
Non-Polish citizens who meet the conditions stated above should make their application with the following documents:
an application addressed to the Dean,
a qualifying card and a filled-in questionnaire,
a diploma of university education,
4 passport photographs.
All documents must be submitted to the Dean's Office.

There is a possibility to take up individually-adjusted studies in English.
As a general rule, time between admission and graduation of a
doctoral candidate must not exceed 4 years, although extensions
may be granted in special cases. Upon admission in a program, each doctoral candidates is assigned a Tutor for the duration of the doctoral studies. The academic year at AGH-UST starts in October and classes
extend through June. Research and other academic activities proceed all year long.
The traditional breaks are in February and in Summer months.
