  General Information about the Symposium

The 6th ISSFIT will be held on May 9 - 12, 2001 in Cracow, Poland, at the Polonia Institute.

The conference is organized by Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics, University of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow.

The Aims of the Symposium

The ISSFIT conferences have been held every three years since the origin in 1985. The goals of the ISSFIT are to promote the science and technology related to all aspects of ionic and electronic transport in a solid and to provide a triennial international and interdisciplinary forum for scientists in this field. This symposium, as previous ones, makes also an opportunity for scientists from East and Central Europe and those from the West to meet each other, to exchange ideas in the field of solid state ionics and to establish collaboration between different groups.
