I have joined research team in Solid State Physics Department after receiving, in 1977, M. Sc. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automatics, University of Mining and Metallurgy, Krakow. My doctoral research was focused on the magnetic properties of Rare Earth - Transition Metal compounds. I received Ph. D. from the Department of Mathematics and Physics, Jagiellonian University, Krakow.  From 1988 to 1991 I held a postdoctoral research associate position in Chemistry Department, Purdue University USA. In 1997 I became an University Professor at Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science, AGH-University of Science and Technology, Krakow.
My extensive teaching experience covers courses in physics and computer science.
