Fluid Power and Control

is a field of technique witch joins mechanical engineering, fluid mechanics, automatic control, electronics and informatics. The basis for such solutions in automation pose hydraulic drive and control - commonly called as a hydraulics - as well as pneumatic drive and control - simply denominated as pneumatics.

A drive

used in hydraulic or pneumatic is concerned with mechanical devices converting power stored in fluid that feeds them into a mechanical power. Linear or rotational motion, force or torque generation are the basic tasks realised by these devices.

Influence into direction of motion, force or torque as well as a speed that task can be realised by Fluid Power Systems have control components called valves.

Valve

is a component which can switch direction of fluid flow, adjust pressure in the circuit or adjust appropriate flow rate.

Power

necessary to supply hydraulic or pneumatic circuit require specific technical resources that can convert mainly electric power into pressurised fluid or compressed air. This is the beginning of the way that fluid or compressed air have to come along before it will reach a receiver.
