I completed my master’s degree in engineering and industrial geodesy in 2005.
I obtained my PhD degree in geodesy and cartography 6 years later on the basis of my thesis entitled „Assessment of the impact of mining exploitation on the surface and buildings based on continuous monitoring of horizontal displacements”.
Since 2010, I have been employed at the Mining Surveying and Environmental Engineering Department of AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow in the Department of Engineering Surveying and Civil Engineering, first as an assistant, and since 2011. – Assistant Professor.
In October 2016, I became the head of post-graduate studies „Application of unmanned aerial vehicles (BSL) in solving engineering issues”.
Since July 2017 he has been working at the AGH University of Science and Technology Transfer Centre as an innovation broker.
In addition to the main field of research on the use of UAVs in areas of considerable morphological diversity, he also deals with issues concerning the application of modern measurement techniques in surveying works.
From 2014 to 2017, I participated in the documentation work during archaeological surveys in Cyprus and from 2018 in Jordan.
For many years I have been conducting research in mountain areas (Tatra Mountains, Beskids). These works are mainly related to geodetic documentation of changes occurring under the influence of various factors, mainly anthropopressure.
In February 2020, by the decision of the Discipline Council of Civil Engineering and Transportation operating at the AGH University of Science and Technology, I was awarded the degree of doctor habilitated on the basis of a monothematic series of publications under the title „Planning and execution of missions by unmanned aerial vehicles in research on mountain areas coverage and shape”.
I am the author or co-author of over 70 scientific publications.
