Special Issue „Speech Technology”

Dear Colleagues,

For tens of thousands of years, speech has been the main way of communicating information between people. The development of computers and artificial intelligence methods makes it possible to extend this function to human communication with technical devices. In the last decade, we witnessed fast progress in speech technology.  Contemporary rapid progress is possible mostly due to deep learning techniques, however, there is still room for improvement and with new tools we are also ready to tackle new challenges.

This Special Issue is intended to report the recent advances and new trends in the field of speech technology. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Automatic Speech Recognition
  • Speaker and Language Identification
  • Analysis of Speech and Audio Signals
  • Speech Synthesis and Spoken Language Generation
  • Detection of Speech and Voice Disorders
