        Technical and Computer Science Education programs are among the first to demonstrate an integrated approach to learning in high school. Many research groups in the faculty offer special courses for teachers who are interested in improving their technical knowledge. Their goal is to reduce the gap between science and the education. The primary goal of this program is to improve student achievement through the use of technology for teaching in elementary and secondary schools in order to interest pupils in techniques and encourage them in future studying of technology. Additional goals include helping all students become technologically literate by the end of the ten semesters and, through the integration of technology with both teacher training and curriculum development, establishing research-based instructional methods that can be widely implemented.
        The PhD programme in the theory and technology of metallurgical processes is comprised of metallurgical and materials sciences disciplines. Graduates can take up these studies, directly after their graduation, by staff members of branch institutes, production plants and foreigners. Full-time doctoral studies are available mainly for graduates in metallurgy, foundry engineering, materials science and computer science and last for 8 semesters.
        Postgraduate studies are conducted and adapted to current requirements. They offer further education to the engineers and technologists from industry and collaborating design offices to meet the expectations of specialists in metallurgy and materials science. Postgraduate studies in computer education are also available for elementary and grammar school teachers.
