· Application of the signal and image processing in Earth sciences. Digital filtering, inverse problem, theory of estimation, time-frequency representations.

· Seismic and acoustic three component (3C) data analysis. Location of the acoustic emission sources. Shear wave splitting. Waveform decomposition.

· Scattering and attenuation of seismic and electromagnetic waves. Methods of analysis and suppression of coda waves. Characterization of waves in heterogeneous and anisotropic media.

· Forecasting of landslides and rock failure in mines (rock bursts).

· Application of parallel computation in geology and geophysics
