About Me

I work at the Faculty of Computer Science, AGH University of Krakow as full professor, one of the most renown technical universities in Poland. My research concerns mostly nature-inspired computing, focusing on metaheuristics for difficult problems, in particular agent-based ones. I work on developing novel computing methods, keeping in mind that the metaphor cannot dominate the reason. I teach full courses on computational intelligence, introduction to artificial intelligence and several shorter ones. I am involved in many organizational activities at my University and outside.
