Process Management Optimization

The Dean of the Faculty of Management at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland. As an Associate Professor specializes in automation and robotics. His main fields of expertise include also discrete optimization and operations research.

Authored numerous textbooks and scientific monographs on flexible manufacturing systems, control system design, and computer-integrated manufacturing. Is a member of Editional Boards of several scientific journals, including “Decision Making in Manufacturing and Services” and „Technologia i Automatyzacja Montażu”.

Graduated from Management Science (MSc) at the AGH University of Science and Technology and from Philosophy (MA) at the Jagiellonian University. Received PhD in Industrial Engineering. Expert in the field of Operations Research and Management Science.

Specializes in scheduling and planning problems, including project planning, and managing problems. Develops optimization models for resource planning, transport, and logistics. Works as a researcher and assistant professor at the Faculty of Management at the AGH-UST in Krakow, Poland.

Colaborates with the Industrial Engineering and Management Centre (CEGI) of INESC TEC in Porto, Portugal. She is a Certified Academic Tutor; teaches classes on operations research, computer-aided tools for project planning and project management. She was a Principal Investigator in small grants aimed at innovations for SMEs. She was a Team Leader in Erasmus+ CBHE projects: “GameHub University-Enterprises Cooperation in Game Industry in Ukraine” and “MoPED – Modernization of Pedagogical Higher Education by Innovative Teaching Instruments”. Managing Editor of scientific journal „Decision Making in Manufacturing and Services”.

My main field of interest is evaluating the multi-criteria efficiency of innovative investment and as a teacher I deal with the broadly understood concept of quality and risk management with particular focus on the Statistical Process Control - which I have been teaching for 7 years.

I got my PhD for “Evaluation of the technological efficiency in coal gasification”. In this work I used Data Envelopment Analyzes method and data from project "Development of coal gasification technology for high production of fuels and energy” at which I also worked. The project was funded by the National Center for Research and Development within the strategic program of research and development: Advanced energy generation technologies – implementation of research projects:

• 8.2.4: Economic efficiency evaluation of the ground and underground coal gasification technologies,
• 8.3.2: Assessment of the ground and underground coal gasification projects using real options analysis,
• 8.3.3: Strategic Assessment of the ground and underground coal gasification technologies using advanced multi-criteria optimization methods and expert methods,
• 8.3.6: Determination of the priority directions of the coal gasification technologies development, their place in the country's energy policy with particular emphasis on energy security and CO2 emissions reduction.

Additionally over recent years, I have been carrying out due diligence projects for the extractive and energy industries. Over the years I have participated in works commissioned by: Veolia Energia Polska S.A., Będzin Sp. z o.o., TAURON Wytwarzanie S.A., PKN ORLEN S.A., ENEA S.A., Consiliari Partners Poland Sp. z.o.o., KHW S.A. These and others projects allowed me to apply and verify my academic knowledge and develop my soft skills.

Graduated from Management Science (MSc) at the AGH University of Science and Technology. Holds his PHD in Industrial Engineering. Expert in the field of Operations Research and Management Science. Works as a researcher and assistant professor at the Faculty of Management at the AGH-UST in Krakow, Poland.

Specializes in scheduling and planning problems, including project planning, and managing problems. Develops optimization models for lot sizing and scheduling, delivery synchronization, bus timetabling, and other problems of industrial logistics. Authored or co-authored 2 books, 16 chapters, 11 journal articles, and 22 conference papers.

Co-organizer of conferences: “International Conference on Industrial Logistics ICIL” (2016) and „International Conference on Decision Making in Manufacturing and Services DMMS” (in 2017 and 2019).

Graduated from WAT Military University of Technology and AGH University of Science and Technology. Is PhD candidate in fields of Mechanical Engineering and Management and Quality. In research, he focuses on methods of forecasting phenomena related to the human factor, such as behavior in the event of a threat.

His work is supported by many years of professional experience in military and civilian positions. Now he works in the position of academic teacher preparing and conducting practical classes in the subjects of Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering and Multimedia Information Management.
