I work at the<strong> Faculty of Energy and Fuels in the Department of Fuel Technology<\/strong>. We are an interdisciplinary team of students from various faculties who share a passion for innovative technologies, sustainable development and real-world implementations. The society&#8217;s supervisor is J<strong>akub Szczurowski, PhD, Eng., from the Department of Fuel Technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-nv-text-dark-bg-color has-text-color\"><strong>One of the main areas of our activit<\/strong>y is 3D printing, which we use in medical practice. We cooperate with the University Hospital in Krakow, where we create models and solutions supporting patient treatment processes. This allows us to combine technical knowledge with the needs of clinical practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The second branch of our activity<\/strong> is modelling and design. We work on innovative engineering solutions, such as the Oxygen Tent project \u2013 an oxygen concentrator operating on the PSA method, created in response to the shortage of equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of this project, we performed a life cycle assessment (LCA) and determined the carbon footprint of the device, identifying the stages that have the greatest impact on the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-nv-text-dark-bg-color has-text-color\"><strong>The third area<\/strong> is laboratory and research and development work. We are currently implementing the Aircarbon project, which aims to create a prototype device for capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere using the DAC method. At the same time, we are conducting a campaign to collect used disposable electronic cigarettes on the AGH campus.
