Professor Ryszard Tadeusiewicz studied at the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Mining and Metallurgy in Krakow (Poland) from which he graduated (with honors) in 1971. Additionally, after receiving his degree in Automatic Control Engineering, he studied at the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical Academy in Krakow, as well as undertook studies in the field of mathematical and computer methods in economics. He has written and published over 600 scientific papers, which were published in prestigious Polish and foreign scientific journals as well as numerous conference presentations - both national and international. Prof. Tadeusiewicz also wrote over 70 scientific monographs and books, among them are highly popular textbooks (which had many reprints). He was supervisor of 54 doctoral thesis and reviewer of more than 200 doctoral thesis. In 2003 all Polish scientists elected him to be President of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society - Polish Chapter.

Dr eng. Tomasz Gąciarz - adjunct of thenbsp;Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Cracow University of Technology. He has received his MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Science and Technology (AGH) from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Electronics. Between the years 1998-2001 Dr inż. T. Gąciarz was the R&D director of the Gradient GnbH corporation. From 2001 to 2004 he worked for the Siemens A G company being an external consultant for the OCR/ICR systems. Dr inż. T. Gąciarz actively participated in practical realization of automatic recognition systems, projects connected with processing documents and pictures (for example for the post office, telecommunications, banking and health sector).
Dr Barbara Borowik joins the faculty of the Institute of Computer Modeling of Physics, Mathematics and Applied Computer Science Department of the Cracow University of Technology. In 1996 she has received her MSc in Computer Science from the Jagiellonian University. She enhanced her qualifications while being in the University of Maryland Baltimore County, in MIT in Cambridge and in University of London. PhD title in Computer Science she obtained in 2002 from the University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Cracow. She is the author of around 40 publications.
Mr. Bartosz Leper - software engineer at Google. He is a fifth-year student of the Computer Science Specialization at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Cracow University of Technology. Mr. Bartosz Leper is a member of the CUT's Computer Science Club. In his spare time he runs a blog Core Dumpsite about technology and society. Privately he is the husband of Monika; he is interested in model making, in Kubrick movies and in politically incorrect literature.
