Research group of Prof. Jerzy F. Janik

The research group is actively engaged in endeavors with both Polish and international scientists and institutions.

In particular, the group has collaborated with the following Polish partners:
  • Institute of High Pressure Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warszawa, Poland (Prof. Bogdan Pałosz) – in the area of hot-pressing/sintering of nitrides.

  • Institute of Experimental Physics, Warsaw University, Warszawa, Poland (Prof. Maria Kamińska and Prof. Andrzej Twardowski) – in the area of GaN-based magnetic semiconductors.
  • Institute of Nuclear Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Kraków, Poland (Dr. Zbigniew Olejniczak) - in the area of NMR sample characterization.
  • Institute of Petroleum Processing, Kraków, Poland (Dr. Iwona Skręt) and PKN ORLEN, Trzebinia Refinery SA, Trzebinia, Poland (Dr. Jerzy Martyniak) – in the area of modification and stability of biodiesel fuels.
  • Association for Pomerania Euroregion and Regional Waste Recycling and Utilization Company in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland – in the area of municipal and industrial waste utilization;
and international partners:
    University of New Mexico, Department of Chemistry, Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA (Prof. Robert T. Paine - link, from being a research advisor in the graduate school to active and supporting collaboration throughout the years), Duke University, Department of Chemistry, Durham, North Carolina, USA (Prof. Richard L. Wells, thank you very much for the valuable gift of laboratory equipment sent to Kraków), and University of Toronto, Toronto Canada (Prof. Edward (Ted) H. Sargent - link) in the area of preparation, characterization, and application of Group III-V compounds, mainly, nitrides and nitride-based complex materials prepared from chemical precursor systems.
