Sunday Symposium
According to the long standing tradition, the conference will begin with the Sunday Symposium.
In the first part, a lecture entitled "Advances in long-term monitoring of cardiac arrhythmias" will be given by Wojciech Zareba M.D., Ph.D. (University of Rochester, USA).
In the second part, devoted to "Virtual Reality in Cardiac Surgery", three invited speakers will present the IT-backgrounds and Polish achievements in robotized cardiac surgery.
The Symposium will be followed by a visit to the world famous Wieliczka Salt Mine, which has been continuously working since the 14th century. A reception with lots of food will be offered in one of its underground caves. You simply must participate in this unique experience which is included in the registration fee.

Remarks concerning the visit to the Wieliczka Salt Mine:
- The descent to the mine is on foot, although the lift service may be offered to participants as required.
- The exit from the mine is via a lift with a capacity of 30 people going once per 6 minutes. The buses will leave to Krakow when fully occupied.
- The temperature in the mine is 16 degrees Celsius, so be prepared accordingly.
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the mine.
- Permission for taking still pictures and video is subject to extra charge.
