Rationale: When conducting research in the field of image recognition one often has to carry out a laborious work of preparing a data set of sample images (eg. to feed machine learning classifiers). Such samples usually have to be of the same size and the number of them goes into hundreds or thousands. Tools such as Photoshop (CS5) do not facilitate the process of preparing such samples, the workflow is complicated and the task itself - tedious.

That's why I wrote the Cropper, a program to easily obtain cropped images of the given size. It allows to crop samples of the given size from an image with just two clicks and it automatically generates filenames of saved samples so that the whole procedure of sample preparation is maximally simplified.
