Scientific research conducted in the Computational Mechanics Laboratory covers a broad range of applications of computer science in technical sciences. Due to the location of the Laboratory at the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science, the vast majority of works and projects involve the application of computer science in metallurgy and materials engineering. Scientific research focuses on process simulation and optimization, multi-scale modeling, development of new computational methods and numerical tools, artificial intelligence applications and high-performance scientific and technical calculations.
