The AGH University of Science and Technology provides education and conducts research in the following fields: electronic and electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, robotics, mining engineering, drilling engineering, metallurgy, geology, geophysics, environmental engineering, power and fuel engineering, material engineering, management, social sciences and others. AGH University of Science and Technology educates students at 15 Faculties and the Interfaculty School of Energy, at 20 fields of study and over 100 specialisations. Most Faculties of the University also run Ph.D. (doctoral) programmes and other postgraduate courses. The number of the University teachers amounts to 3962, including 608 professors. The total number of the students of the first and second level studies amounts to 29,437. There are also 45 foreign students.
